This Week in Macaroni Kid Longmont-Frederick

We Survived!

By Michele Pullo, Publisher and Editor of Macaroni Kid Longmont-Frederick May 16, 2020

We may have a few days left but I think it's safe to say we survived Remote Schooling 2020! Regardless of how well it went (academically) for our kids, I want to offer a shout-out to all the teachers and administrators who figured out a way to continue the school year during this unprecedented time. They did an amazing job with nothing, in recent history, to base this new form of learning on. THANK YOU!!

As far as parenting goes, I'm looking for a recovery, weight-loss, mental health center located on a beach. If anyone has any recommendations.... JK, I'm excited about Safer At Home Summer Fun, right here in Longmont!

So, we made it through remote learning, and now we're going to make it through a really interesting summer! Be sure to check your inbox each week as I share a new series for local summer fun, brought to you from my Colorado Macaroni Kid sister publishers and myself. I won't give too much away now, but you're gonna love it!

Our Summer Camp Guide is being updated to include camps that will move forward with in-person options, as well as camps offering virtual classes. A round of applause for the local camps changing their business models to provide safe alternatives for our kiddos!

Finally, if you come across a free event (virtual or otherwise) that local parents would be interested in, feel free to submit it on our event page! We're in this together.

Enjoy this beautiful weekend!
