Our Family's Top 5 Winter Favorites at Gaylord of the Rockies

By Michele Pullo, publisher of Macaroni Kid Longmont-Frederick-Niwot-Lyons January 9, 2022

Over the last two years my family has limited our trips to the mountains. First, because of Covid and then of course there's the traffic. We've had to get creative to find other fun activities we'd enjoy. I'm grateful that through Macaroni Kid we were introduced to Gaylord of the Rockies

If you're not familiar with Gaylord of the Rockies, it's a beautiful resort out near the airport. We usually take the toll road and miss traffic entirely! I think it takes about 45 minutes to get there.

I love staying there, but if you don't have time for a staycation, it's a great day trip!

Below I've listed our family's Top 5 Gaylord Activities;

1. Ice Bumper Cars - I hadn't experienced ice bumper cards until I visited the Gaylord. This is SO much fun! My family loved it!

2. Snow Tubing - Who doesn't love snow tubing? It's perfect for kids of all ages.

3. Winter Art Studio - When you need to warm up, head inside for creative art projects that you can do right along with your kids.

4. Campfire & S'mores - No explanation needed here, just YUM!!

5. Choice of Restaurants - When you're wiped out at the end of the day, you'll have several delicious restaurants to choose from at the Gaylord. The kids will be hungry, and you'll be ready to relax a bit without having to think about "what's for dinner".

There's so much more to do at this resort. If you decide to stay for the weekend, be sure to visit the indoor pool and slides

Our visit was sponsored by Gaylord of the Rockies, but as always, my opinions are my own.
